How to Overcome Insecurity

How to overcome our own thoughts

The number one obstacle you are facing is insecurity.  Insecurity will defeat you before you ever get started.  It attacks you in your mind, infects your thinking, and holds you hostage to your fears.

When your man is in prison, you are attacked by constant mind battles. Thoughts that try to define you as worthless, useless, and unwanted.  Those thought will tell you to keep his imprisonment a secret.  To hide away because no one wants you.  If you let your insecurities rule your decisions, then you will never reach your dreams.

There are 3 words that help you overcome insecurity: Inside, Outside, and Act.

First, you must deal with the accusations that are hitting you from the inside.  Conquer your mind battles!  I promise you that no one is as hard on you as you are on yourself.  Grab a hold of those thoughts and then toss them out.  You are capable, worthy, and deserving of reaching your goals.  Do not let your mind battle stop you from creating the life that you want to live.

Who you really are

Now, you are prepared to stand against the attacks that come from outside of you – the labels others try to impose on you.  After you win against your own self-defeating thoughts, then you are ready to take on the world.  What other people say about you does not define you.  You cannot let it cause you to doubt your value.  The words and actions of others only tell us who they are, not who we are.

Our culture is always sending us messages that tell us that we are not good enough. We look in the mirror and don’t like what we see. We look at our work and feel that it is not good enough. all of us look at our stuff and think we need something better than what we have.

It is time to act

It is critical that you put action behind your dreams.  Once you have overcome your own negative thoughts, and the opinions of others, you must act.  You have to put your ideas into action.  If you do not bravely do something different, you will just slide back into another internal battle.  Putting that action into motion will build your self-confidence and silence insecurity.  The more you act, then the less susceptible you will be to insecurity.

As you find the courage to do what you want to do in spite of your own fears, or what others may think, you will grow stronger.  As you grow stronger, you will become more determined to make your dreams come true.  You can do this — you can conquer your insecurities and rise above your circumstances.

I am rooting for you!
